Another restaurant is opening soon in Scott's Addition and this one is big! Maybe not big in size, but big in culinary impact. For a long time, Longoven was a pop-up dinner series serving seasonal menu items using local and regional ingredients. You could often find them on Sundays at Sub Rosa or popping up in other places like Veil Brewing for an exclusive ticketed event or the annual Fire, Flour & Fork. In a few weeks, they will open in their permanent home at 2939 W. Clay St. Richmond Mag shares more about their story here. Also, check out this great shot of the exterior transformation which seemingly happened over night, captured by @scottsaddition on Insta.

Have you ever seen a live polo match? King Family Vineyard in Crozet, Virginia is a 1 hour-ish drive and if you go on any Sunday between Memorial Day and early October you can watch a match. Gates open at 10am, matches start at 1pm, and the event is free to attend. King Family wine is available for sale throughout the event and you're welcome to bring your own blanket, chairs, and picnic (no outside alcohol, of course). It's also pet and family friendly. Excuse me while I Google the basic rules of polo and order the largest pastel hat I can find.

Shakespeare under the stars is back for the 20th annual season at Agecroft Hall presented by Quill Theater! This is a truly magical outdoor play series set in the beautiful gardens surrounding Agecroft Hall. Doors open at 6pm for picnicking and as you dine, members of Lord Moxley's Players, the Festival Young Company, will stroll the grounds and entertain you with Shakesperean monologues, sonnets, and songs. Shows are held Thursday through Sunday beginning June 1 to July 29 starting at 7:30pm. New this year, Garden Grove Brewing Company & Urban Winery will be on the grounds the second weekend of each month pouring a special beverage made just for the festival! Mark your calendar and snag your tickets now!

Whenever I find a guide to the city I'm always super excited to read it! That's actually exactly why I love The Richmond Experience so much (admittedly it's a bit selfish, and this is second only to getting to know so many awesome people through social media, aka you, that I eventually get to meet in real life... anyway, I digress). What I want to share is this: I recently stumbled across this guide to Church Hill created by Church Hill People's News and it's smartly organized by categories (attractions, food and drink, services, and tours), includes a map and a brief description of each item on the list. It's not overwhelming, it's informative, and I wish I would have found it 7 years ago. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Maybe we need one of these for every neighborhood in Richmond....
