BLACK ICE CREAM:
Charm School
Are you afraid of the dark? Every October Charm School releases their all-black treats with activated charcoal ice cream, black cones, black sprinkles, black whipped cream, and beyond. If you’re a coffee lover, go for their Black Magic vegan ice cream (pictured above) made with local black coffee.

PUMPKIN PIE:
Proper Pie Co
If you’ve ever visited this New Zealand-style spot in Church Hill then you know every pie, be it sweet or savory, coming out of this kitchen is pure magic. This season, during your search for the best pumpkin-anything, do not miss the pumpkin pie here. Alton Brow said it was the best he’s ever had. Do yourself a favor and get two.

Mabel’s Craft Burgers & Crazy Shakes
Every Halloween Mabel’s conjurs up some spooky concoctions and this here is the witchy shake. A vanilla frosted rim with sparkly purple sprinkles, a scoop of mint ice cream with a witches hat cone and a cauldron of gummy worms (not pictured), topped with whip cream, pretzel rods, chocolate drizzle and more sprinkles! Make plans to visit this October to see what they come up with next!

Carytown Cupcakes
Halloween puts us into a magical mood and that’s where the wizardly variety of Cary Potter cupcakes comes in! Each year the cupcake shop is transformed into Diagon Alley, the dementor-infested Forbidden Forest, and little nooks from Hogwarts. For two full weeks (typically the end of October into early November) you can stop in for special events full of mischief and magic and of course feast on themed cupcakes like Butterbean, Sorting Hat, Golden Snitch, Polyjuice Potion, and more. Look for pre-orders to begin the first week of October.

Coco + Hazel
Better hurry because this Autumn-in-a-Mug beaut will only stick around as long as the Pumpkin ice cream lasts. Dubbed “THE BASIC” this shake features Pumpkin ice cream swirled with caramel and topped with a slice of pumpkin spice cake, whipped cream, caramel and pumpkin spice. Did we mention there would be pumpkin spice?
