The Richmond Public Library branches offer all sorts of great bookish programming for our city’s tiny tots. From Book Babies to Toddler Time to Preschool Storytime, there’s a library offering for every little reader. And if you’ve got teens at home, you’re covered there, too.

The Bunny Hive
The Bunny Hive opened its Richmond location just last month and is already the talk of the town among young families. The “social club for little ones and their grownups” offers a variety of classes your crew can enjoy, including music, art, sensory, ballet, yoga, culinary exploration, baby massage, storytime, and more. Buy a single class pass, class pack, or membership, and let the fun begin!

Toddler Time at Maymont
Maymont’s toddler-focused offerings include all sorts of fun, engaging, and active learning experiences. Toddler Time includes a story, a craft, and a visit with one of Maymont’s animals.

Miss Anne’s Music & Movement
This weekday class is a straight-up party. Mom of three and preschool teacher Miss Anne gets your kids moving and grooving with a half-hour of music, instruments, bubbles, and more. “Consider me the pre-K DJ,” she says. And we do!

Commonwealth Explorers Exhibition at Virginia Museum of History & Culture
The recently revamped Virginia Museum of History & Culture provides all kinds of things to see and do. Its new Commonwealth Explorers exhibit is specifically geared toward the spot’s youngest visitors and even has various uniforms your little ones can play pretend in. My toddler quite literally *needed* to get out of the stroller to get a better look while we were walking around, so def kid-approved.

Li’l Kickers with Sports Center of Richmond
The Sports Center of Richmond provides loads of activities for kids of all ages, and Li’l Kickers is one of our favorites. The weekly workout is “50 minutes of highly creative, high energy, and age-appropriate activities that serve as a great introduction to soccer and help children master developmental milestones.” If this is how Alex Morgan got started, we wouldn’t be surprised.
