Everything We Know About The Park RVA in the Diamond District
The 55,000-square-foot recreation and entertainment hub is a playground for all ages, with cutting-edge culinary programming, immersive entertainment, live music, and vibes for days.
— The Park RVA
This Wednesday, November 30, marks the grand opening of Richmond’s highly-anticipated recreation and entertainment hub, The Park RVA. Last night, we got a sneak peek, and here's everything we know about it.
The Space
This massive space is an indoor wonderland full of ~Insta~ worthy moments.
Artwork inside The Park RVA includes an array of murals from local and national artists. Most of the venue is covered in a mural by Richmond muralist and artist Ed Trask. Other colorful designs from artists Jared Fykes, Skela, Wing Chow, and Mickael Broth cover the interior walls.
Unique lighting installations set the mood, and giant LED media walls with flashback technology capture images of you and create a 3D gif for you to share on social.
And then there are all its other offerings:
Duckpin Bowling
The Park RVA is home to 18 lanes of duckpin — a version of bowling with smaller lanes and pins. It’s also the largest installation in the country!
Whimsical Wonderball Miniature Golf
Wonderball features 18 holes of mini golf fantasy. The front nine are called The Playground, while the back nine are The Fairway.
Virtual Golf Bays
There are three virtual golf bays made by Full Swing Golf. One bay is fully private and can accommodate up to 15 guests — perfect for small parties and intimate events — while the other two are semi-private; all three bays can be rented out separately or together for large parties.
DJ Booth / Karaoke Room
Near the main bar, there is a DJ booth with plans to host musicians and DJs for a nightclub experience. The Karaoke Room is tucked away, full of comfy seating, a stage, and disco balls to set the ambiance.
Main Bar / Indoor Beer Garden
The main bar, which measures 60 feet long, is rumored to be the largest in the state, and the massive indoor beer garden features 30 taps guests can pour from themselves. You’ll find giant flat-screen TVs to watch major sporting events and two additional bars — one in the beer garden and another offering a more intimate setting in the miniature golf area.
Food Hall
You’ll find six food concepts are split between each end of the venue. Pico Freako Street Tacos, Chick Flick Southern Style Chicken Sandwiches, Vinny Smasharinos Wood-Fired Pizza, and Smash Burgers, complete with a 6,000-pound, state-of-the-art pizza oven, are complemented by Nori Squad Hand Rolls and Bao Buns, Bowl Mama, and Sweet OG’s, which offers boozy shakes and desserts made by an onsite pastry chef. All the restaurant concepts are managed in-house by Executive Chef Robert Oatley.
Event Space / Comedy Club
Designed to host large-scale groups and events with room to accommodate up to 1,000 people, The Park RVA also features a large auditorium, a banquet-style meeting space that can hold up to 247 guests, and a comedy club that will start booking acts around mid-summer.
