Break out your best 1920s glamour and join us at Richmond's historic HOFHEIMER BUILDING in downtown for the New Year's Eve GATSBY GALA (21+). Guests will be treated to an evening of live jazz music, dancing, 1920s era hors d'oeuvres, photo opps and of course booze due to the event's Prohibition theme.
The Richmond GATSBY GALA experience includes:
• Live early 20th century dance music with the GRACE STREET SEVEN, a swingin' hot 7-piece Jazz band (performing 9pm-11pm), complete with a DANCE-OFF contest.

• Electro Swing music (8-9pm, 11pm-1am with DJ Ghozt)

Attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods for a Charity Canned Food Drive with every two cans donated exchanged for a raffle ticket that will make donors eligible to win prizes. Afterwards canned goods will be given to FEEDMORE.org which distributes nutritious meals and wholesome food directly to those who need it most in the Richmond area.
Featuring the Grace Street Seven vintage jazz band, guests will be treated to live jazz music throughout the evening. Performing early 20th century classic jazz tunes, this talented 7-piece band will recreate the joyful and still popular music of the Jazz Age of the Roaring '20s. The time was known as the "Great Gatsby" era of daring "flappers" & New Orleans Mardi Gras music which lends itself to all styles of dancing.
Later in the evening, those who pride themselves in knowing their way around the dance floor will be encouraged to participate in a Dance-Off Contest while accompanied by the jazz band (must sign-up in advance at Dance Contest table). Although traditional swing style dancing is encouraged, any and all styles of dance are welcomed to participate.
The Gatsby Gala will also feature a handful of '20s era cocktails in addition to fully stocked bars offering various spirits, beer and win. All tickets will also include one (1) cocktail drink per ticket as well as a champagne toast happening at midnight.
Guests are highly encouraged to dress in the glitz and glamour of the '20s era with professional photos available. Suggestions for those not sure of what to wear would be to wear black, white, gold and pearls or maybe embrace their inner flapper or gangster. (NOTE: jeans, tennis shoes & street wear highly discouraged).
This event SOLD OUT in advance in 2023 and we expect the same this year so invite those who you want to ring in the New Year with - VIP tables are limited!
• Doors open at 8:00pm Dec. 31st with the Grace Street Seven vintage jazz band performing from 9-11:00pm.
• DJ Ghozt will spin "Electro Swing" music to help pack the dance floor before and after the live band performs.
