On Friday, December 20th, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, Richmond Animal League (RAL) invites the community to gather at its Adoption Center for its Annual Luminary Ceremony. This beloved tradition brings us together to reflect on the joy, love, and hope that the holiday season inspires, especially for pets and the people who love them. The Luminary Ceremony is free to attend and open to the public.
As Operation Silent Night comes to a close, the Luminary Ceremony celebrates the peace of an empty shelter—where every pet has found a loving home or foster for the holidays. The soft glow of luminaries will light up the space, creating a moment to pause, reflect, and honor the bonds that unite us. Whether you’re celebrating the joy of a newly adopted family member or cherishing the memory of a beloved companion, we welcome you to share in this meaningful evening of gratitude and connection.
