Everything We Know About Brambly Park, The First Winery in Scott's Addition
“Imagine a special place hidden down a back alley road tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Scott’s Addition. A secret garden of whimsical charm filled with eccentric characters socializing over farm tables filled with cheese and wine. A place to gather at the end of the day and revel in the camaraderie of friends and perfect strangers alike.
Brambly Park is just like it sounds... It’s a park-like venue situated on almost 2 acres in the very back corner of Scott’s Addition surrounded by wild growing bramble bushes. It’s home to an urban winery, a full service restaurant and an event venue. It’s dog and family friendly and filled with games, music, great food and drinks. It offers the perfect escape at the end of the day…” - Brambly Park
This Friday, June 5, marks the grand opening of the highly-anticipated Brambly Park, an urban winery, restaurant, and park. Here's everything we know about it:
Wine
Brambly Park opened with three wines and will continue to expand on this list. Sourcing from Oregon and California, their wine list includes a Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Rosé, Pinot Noir, and a chardonnay. In addition to their wine, Brambly Park will eventually carry local, regional, and national wines on an expanded list to come.
Full Bar
Not a wine drinker? Don’t fret. There is a full bar located inside in the winery and you may even find some premade cocktails available on tap. Speaking of taps, their bar has 28.
Outdoor Food
In the short-term, Brambly plans to offer an “outdoor” food menu only consisting of sandwiches, cheese boards, salads, meat boards, breads and spreads, and more. You can also expect to see food trucks pop up here, especially as we continue to navigate COVID restrictions.
*Brambly Park is owned in part by the co-owner of The Hofgarden.
Indoor Restaurant
Eventually, the plan is to open a full-service 72-seat Italian restaurant inside the winery featuring homemade pastas, small plates, classic Italian entrees, and of course, plenty of wine!
Games
There is no shortage of activities within the park including a croquet court, bocce pit, a horseshoe pit, a disc golf putting green, and cornhole sets.
Fire Pit
If you get there early enough you can snag an Adirondack chair around the fire pit. We are seriously dreaming about spending some beautiful fall evenings here…
Dog Park
Don’t get too excited just yet. This feature is not yet installed but leashed pets are welcome! There is a grassy area located on the south side of the property that will eventually be fenced-in and available as an off-leash dog park where pet owners can let their furry friends run around and socialize while sipping on a beverage.
Live Music
You can expect to catch plenty of live music here (particularly as COVID restrictions ease, fingers crossed) as they plan to build a stage on the outskirts of the property. We are so excited to see more live music happening during the day around Richmond as the music scene has historically dominated the nightlife world.
Event Venue
The Rosé Room offers 2,000 square feet of private event space on the second floor of the building. It’s equipped with state of the art audio and visual capabilities along with a full service bar. Brambly plans to offer full catering and event coordination services.
Sounds lovely, right? Don’t forget we are still in Phase I of COVID restrictions so be sure to follow local, state, and federal guidelines if you decide to visit soon. Share your experience with us by tagging us @therichmondexperience and using #therichmondexperience and #rvax. CHEERS!
