Since 2005, the Richmond History Makers (RHM) program has honored everyday individuals and organizations that are having a significant impact on the Greater Richmond Region at that particular moment in time.
For our 20th annual Richmond History Makers program, the Valentine has worked to align our event’s areas of focus with the Urban Institute’s pillars to improve upward mobility. This year, our independent Selection Committee, ChamberRVA’s HYPE (Helping Young Professionals Engage) selected our five honorees from an impressive pool of local nominations.
In addition, this year we will honor our first Young Richmond History Maker, selected by the Valentine Teacher Fellows, a group of Richmond Region educators.
