The ART 180 Block Party is a neighborhood-wide celebration of creativity, community, and collective joy—rooted in intergenerational knowledge-sharing and inspired by the legacy of Richmond changemakers like John Mitchell Jr., Maggie Walker, and Ethel Bailey Furman.
This year, we’ve got a block full of art activations led by the youth artists and teaching artists of ART 180’s programs, yoga sessions in the street, a makers space led by the House of Bhagat, and food from our friends at TBT El Gallo.
With live performances by:
* Control the Room
* Infinite Peace
* Two of the young DJs from ART 180’s In The Mix program — DJ AJ + DJ Money
* DJ Zaiii
* Performers from our neighbors at the Coalition Theater
Inside our Atlas Gallery, Office Hours brings together Richmond’s boldest creatives, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders for free, one-on-one 10-minute advice sessions. Designed for young people and open to the broader community, Office Hours offers real talk and practical insight—no gatekeeping, just growth. Sign ups for Office Hours will open to the public Monday, April 28 at art180.org.
