Toast the fall with friends and family at Bier-Garden on the Carriage House Lawn at Maymont! This two-day German-style festival is the perfect way to celebrate the change of seasons in a beautiful outdoor setting. Join in the world’s largest folk festival without traveling to Munich!

Hoist a stein of authentic Paulaner beer or a special craft brew by Bingo Beer Co. Savor mouth-watering Bavarian specialties crafted by Capital Ale House and fun festival treats from your favorite food trucks.

Wear your lederhosen or dirndl and join in the Capital Ale House Stein-Hoisting Contest. Revelers of all ages will find a festive outdoor scene amidst Maymont’s historic European-style buildings while enjoying lively music, yard games, fire pits and more. Bring home some artisanal treats from the Marketplatz.

Kids are welcome, too, for an afternoon of crafts, games, friendly farm animals and more in the Kinderzone.

Event ticket includes free admission to The Robins Nature Center until 5pm.

Join us for a celebratory Oktoberfest weekend kickoff beer tasting with our Master Brewer, Brian Nelson. The tasting begins at 6 p.m., and pretzels and flights will be provided. Enjoy a wide selection of Hardywood German-style beers such as Pils, Benny and the Fest, Dunkelweisen, Helles, and more!

Tickets are available to the general public on September 16.

@butterboysrva will be serving up the yummiest pretzels! + @vipernineisfine will be launching the German classical hits to your eardrums.@Nokoribrva will have German inspired food specials too.

We will have a STIEN holding contest at 3pm!
20 contestants may sign up at the register starting at 11am. Sign ups will close after 20 people.
Winner gets a $100 Veil gift-card!
$20 to enter (includes a chance to win a $100 gift-card, A Veil Brewing branded stein, and a full pour of lager).
The contest will start promptly at 3pm, so please be ready by 2:45pm if you have signed up.
