What better way to serve our community than with our biggest asset: time? It’s the most selfless contribution we can make and it truly makes a difference. 

It's no surprise that there are many volunteer organizations in RVA that are doing exceptional work to support those in need. Whether you're a long-time resident or a newcomer to the city, getting involved with these groups is a fantastic way to give back and make a meaningful difference in our community.

The READ Center focuses on adult literacy in RVA. They provide free one-on-one tutoring and small group classes to help adults develop reading, writing, and communication skills.
