6 Local Bridal Shops to Visit While You Wedding Plan

BY KELSEY HEINTZ

This time of year is one of the most popular seasons for engagements, so just in case you and your loved one find yourselves in a meadow, building a snowman, naming him Parson Brown, and making plans for when he’s in town, we’ve rounded up a few dress shops to have on your radar.

Annalise Bridal Boutique

This airy shop curates couture designer gowns exclusive to Central Virginia, and you get pre-appointment consultations with your own stylist, in order to have the appointment itself tailored to your personal style and taste.

Blue Sage Bridal

Blue Sage Bridal is often recommended when you go searching for the best bridal boutiques in the area, and it’s easy to see why. It’s the only consignment and sample bridal boutique in Richmond, it’s inclusive, and it’s woman-owned, and the bubbly staff is, of course, “savvy to the needs and whims of our brides.”

Brocade is newer to the Richmond scene, but owners Bryce and Tabitha bring a combined 14 years of wedding and fashion industry experience to the shop, and it shows in their collection. Look for classic and trendy gowns here, as you take your time to peruse.

Tiffanys Bridal

Tiffanys is owned and operated by two longtime friends, whose son and daughter — brace for swoon — married each other! Ahead of your appointment, the shop offers lots of guidance, which Richmond Weddings agreed was fit to print. Having been in biz since ‘69, if you score here, “you might even be able to say you purchased your gown from the same boutique as your mother or grandmother.”

Location: 1517 N Parham Rd D (Regency)

Urban Set Bride

Urban Set Bride is a Church Hill gem, owned by mother-and-daughter team, Jennifer Haines and Christine Haines Greenberg. (BTW, Christine founded the Hive Wedding Collective, too!) Urban is known for its loveliness, and they partner with neighborhood spot Second Bottle to have champagne delivered to your dress-shopping party, if you so choose — a particularly sweet touch, we must say.

Location: 602 N 29th St (Church Hill)
