Happy spring!

The flowers are blooming, it’s lighter later, and The Eras Tour looks like I’m about to spend $1,000 on a ticket to The Eras Tour. Seriously: the setlist! The outfits! The hair! The cat eye sharp enough to kill a man! I spent the better part of the weekend toggling between Insta spoilers and StubHub; I can’t get enough.

But until I figure out which show(s) to go to and where to get $1,000(+), I’ve got my eye on some other fun and local goings-on. Liiiiike:

See you there and there? Need other ideas for the rest of the week ahead and then some? You got it.

RICHMONDER TO KNOW

Katie Gast: She’s the *major talent* behind LittleGhosttCo, which we featured in our city guide 8 LOCAL ARTISTS TO KNOW, LOVE & SHOP. Katie illustrates vintage girlies decked out in festive ‘fits for Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and everything in between and outside. Her take on Emerald Haywood from Nope is one of our recent favorites — but it’s truly too hard to decide; we love all her stuff! Catch her at markets throughout the city or peep her Etsy shop if you’re ready to Add to Cart now.

SOCIAL NEWS

Viva Las Vegas: If you’re already feeling the “Spring Break is over” blues and need to get to planning your next trip, Spirit Airlines has you covered. The org recently added nonstop flight service from Richmond International Airport to Las Vegas Airport! To celebrate, they’re offering a $109 one-way ticket option, available between May 5 and June 8. Katy Perry residency anyone? (Richmond Times-Dispatch)

Holy craft!: Woodworkers and DIYers, rejoice; a new crafty spot is coming to town this month! Rockler Woodworking and Hardware is setting up (work)shop in Short Pump at the end of March with plans to outfit its 7,762 square-foot spot with crafting products galore and classroom space for hands-on instruction from its in-house experts. (Richmond Times-Dispatch)

If it’s good enough for Mark Cuban: Hamilton Beach, the Glen Allen-based co that specializes in kitchen appliances, struck a deal with Mark Cuban-backed Shark Tank product Numilk. Together, the two will capitalize on the ever-growing interest in plant-based milk, joining forces to create a new line of products that allows customers to make the healthy bev at home. Product design and engineering are underway now, and you can expect to see a launch sometime early next year. (ABC8 News)

Here’s the tea: Monroe Ward is welcoming a new tea spot to its neck of the woods in early May. The Queen’s Library Tea Room will open its doors on May 5, offering Richmonders a spot to sip on a variety of teas from around the world, including Kenya, India, and China. Owners Clarissa and Daniel Luna will make a point to highlight the stories of the women who harvest the teas they serve, too — which speaks to the “library” of the space. (Richmond magazine)

As seen in (on?) Food & Wine: Richmond is having a moment, and Food & Wine can’t help but notice. The print and online magazine featured the River City in two write-ups recently — Richmond, Virginia, Has Become a Culinary Powerhouse and The Best Coffee Shops in Every State. In the first, writer Patrice J. Williams covers RVA’s slew of celeb chefs, including Daniel Harthausen, Keya Wingfield, and Justin Ross. In the second, David Landsel selects Blanchard’s Coffee Roasting Co as the best of the best in Richmond, emphasizing the spot’s knack for roasting (“something they do very well indeed”) and pretty cafes popping up all over the area. We’re SO proud — and so hungry and thirsty. (Food & Wine, Food & Wine)
