Keya Wingfield: While a few local favorites represented Richmond on the Cooking Channel this week, Keya brought Richmond to the Food Network as the winner of Spring Baking Championship, Season 7 last February. She was born in Mumbai, India, moved to the United States 15 years ago, and has been baking, cooking, and creating in the River City ever since!

A food festival, but make it a drive-thru: The beloved Richmond Jewish Food Festival is back for its 14th iteration this Sunday, and this time, it’s a “heat ‘n’ eat” event. Remembering Martin Luther King, Jr.: HandsOn Greater Richmond fittingly refers to MLK Day as “a day on, not a day off” and will honor the American leader and activist through community service, including “Mending Walls” panel and group discussions and a weekend of volunteer opportunities. Richmond Symphony will celebrate him through music with its concert, Dreams of Freedom featuring “My Hero, Martin” by Morgan Avery McCoy Inc.
