Happy second day of summer! 👋

We’re rounding the end of June, but it’s a new season, and there’s no shortage of things to do in the River City. That said, we thought it’d be a great time to remind you that members of The Richmond Experience get free and discounted tickets to shows at Virginia Credit Union Live! and The National, and there are a handful of new ones listed for you to check out. But a few things to note before you get your summer-show shopping on:

  • Tickets listed as “All-In” offers are all-inclusive of any online service fees.

  • Free ticket offers are subject to a small processing fee at checkout, which will cover up to four tickets.

  • All offers end at 10 pm EST the day before the event date.

By the by, have you seen the Member Perks page recently? We’ve stocked up, so you might consider checking those out while you’re already in the perkin’ up mood.

Now, before we move on to other things you’ll def want to know about this week, we’re thinking ahead — just a bit — to next week, when we plan to drop another round of our new(ish) Insider series: Things We’re *WAY* Loving This Month. And we want to know what you’re way loving, too! Drop us a line here, and let us know about a local product, service, restaurant, or something-or-other that you’ve been psyched about for June. We’ll pick a member entry to feature in Edition 213 of the Weekly Insider!

Bryant's Dry Cider — and Beer: Bryant’s Dry Cider has added an in-house brewery to its Downtown storefront. You can currently stop by for a Kolsch, ale, and IPA on draft, and in the future, expect other experimental beers — namely of the sour variety. (Richmond BizSense)

TO DO LATER

Summer lovin': Duke's Mayonnaise is collabing with local restaurants for Hot Tomato Summer. The week-long event comes back to town on Monday, July 18, and will feature fan-favorite eateries for a 'mater mitzvah, with seasonal dishes featuring mayo and 'matoes. Last year, Lunch and Supper, ZZQ, and Fuzzy Cactus (to name just a few) participated, and apps are open for this year's participants now. (Instagram)

THE C-suite: Ghost kitchen and food biz incubator, ChefSuite, is set to open in Richmond this summer. The spot will feature 16 rentable, 200- to 400-square-foot spaces for restaurateurs to rent for six, nine, or 12 months at a time and grow their food concepts. Tenants can use the space to focus on their marketing, operations, finances, or other pieces of their businesses. (Richmond magazine)

The Mantwo locations: The Mantu is opening a sister location, The Mantu Market. The Mantu Chef Noori and new Sous Chef Ali will team up to bring the concept to life, setting the scene for the new combined Afghan market, bakery, and fast-casual café.
