Tequila Sunrise
What it is: A brand-spankin' new tequila and taco bar in Bon Air.
Why we love it: Tequila, tacos, burritos, fajitas — am I the only one droolin’ over here? Tequila Sunrise is the newest Mexican restaurant to hit the RVA scene. With menu items like steak chimichangas, surf ‘n turf fajitas, and birria tacos (one of the latest all-the-rage trends in the taco world) you can’t go wrong. Come check out what one reviewer calls, “Chipotle but with alcohol.”
Where to find it: 11581 Robious Rd (Bon Air)
Autum Lounge
What it is: RVA’s newest restaurant & lounge with an emphasis on quality — both in customer experience and food.
Why we love it: Kick back, relax, and unwind with a drink in one hand and a fork in the other. Autum Restaurant & Lounge is bringing RVA an intimate dining experience coupled with handcrafted cocktails and an intentional menu with signature dishes — like their lollipop lamb chops drizzled with a mustard-based curry sauce.
Or pop by for brunch, a staple of this new spot, and try their chicken and French toast. It features a brioche vanilla swirl bread topped with sweet drizzle, powdered sugar, and assorted fruits.
They also have specialty lemon drops (say what?!). Try their lavender lemon drop — a total crowd-pleaser.
Where to find it: 1115 Hull St (Manchester)
Red Hibachi & Beer
What it is: A fast-casual takeout spot with classic hibachi favorites and brews.
Why we love it: Brought to you by the genius behind the popular Pig & Brew comes Red Hibachi & Beer — an unfussy joint with classic hibachi favorites and cold ones to wash it all down. Who doesn’t love a good hibachi meal? Stop in and try one of their noodle bowls loaded with chicken, steak, or shrimp and house-made sauces like Yum Yum Sauce and Soy Ginger.
