We’re back again with your monthly dose of must-know news, The Trendspotter! This content series features monthly roundups of the newest and hottest businesses (namely, restaurants, bars, and then some!) around RVA.

March is here, spring is near, and as always, Richmond is blooming with new spots to check out.

Le Cache Dulcet

What it is: Richmond’s first coffee-and-records shop

Why we love it: Per Richmond magazine, Le Cache Dulcet is inspired by owner Patrick Weaver’s life in LA, “where he rekindled a passion for vinyl and developed an interest in coffee over professional and social meetups in the city’s cafés.”

Where to find it: 109 E Broad St (Downtown)

Ugly Dumpling

What it is: Your new Chinese go-to spot in Willow Lawn

Why we love it: When it’s the warm comfort of soup dumplings, this is where to visit — but there’s more where that came from. Ugly Dumpling also offers wontons, wok and noodle dishes, and greens.

Where to find it: 1601 Willow Lawn Dr #840 (Willow Lawn)

Calyx

What it is: A cafe and lounge specializing in light to medium roast beans sourced from some of the world’s best farms; their brews highlight the skill and care behind every cup

Why we love it: Calyx leans into the journey of your coffee enjoyment with Omakase Coffee Experience, a multi-course tasting where a barista curates a lineup of specialty drinks just for you.

Where to find it: 215 W Clay St (Jackson Ward)

Boulevard Burger & Brew

What it is: A Richmond staple that’s back up and running after a few-months hiatus following a gnarly crash

Why we love it: Now with a fresh patio and new windows, BB&B is ready to have you back for anything and everything to eat and drink. Personally, we go for the Kelly’s Classic, but don’t forget a milkshake with your order, and peep the added menu items, too.

Where to find it: 1300 N Arthur Ashe Blvd (Scott’s Addition)
